Girls march on - South 4 Casey 1

Wish I was well enough to make it out there today. Girls now up to second place - but they have played one more game than the teams around them, what with not having the bye until the final round. Their goal difference is the weakest of the top four sides, which won't help, and they play both of their final matches away - though this week's match against Geelong RFA should see them notch up a win and hopefully a few more for the goal difference. Casey by comparison has to play Heidelberg and Box Hill and has the bye as well - so if the girls hold up their end of the bargain, they should be able to snare a double chance. Here's hoping. The reserves also won, 3-1, but that title's pretty much Sandringham's to lose.

A few notes on comments.

We've had a lot of fun over the years with my freewheeling comments policy, but all good things must come to an end. Therefore I will no longer be approving comments that contain personal abuse of any sort.

Still, if your post doesn't get approved straight away, it's probably because I haven't seen it yet.

As usual, publication of a comment does not mean endorsement of its content.
