Tomorrow night, the senior men and the 20s are playing pre-season friendlies against Casey Comets, out at Comets Stadium. The 21s start at 6:00pm, and the Seniors at 8:00pm.
As the game is not at Lakeside, the game is open for people to attend, though I won't be there myself - a three hour public transport trip doesn't quite seem worth the bother. Yes, I have gone soft.
A few notes on comments.
We've had a lot of fun over the years with my freewheeling comments policy, but all good things must come to an end. Therefore I will no longer be approving comments that contain personal abuse of any sort.
Still, if your post doesn't get approved straight away, it's probably because I haven't seen it yet.

ReplyDeleteThe formula some people seem to be using for discerning the merits of these pre-season performances seems to be:
- if we win, the opposition was useless, and we are probably useless
- if we lose, we are useless, and the merits of the opposition are up to you
That's been the vocal opinion of pre-season games for more than a decade now. If we can avoid burning out the players, I'm all for more match practice.
