Squad for Singapore Cup tie against Bangkok Glass annnounced

You can check out the full article here. In short, some new faces that apparently Eddie Krncevic wants to use next year; in goals, relying on Stefaan Sardelic and under 21s keeper George Malliaras - I suppose the one upshot of Peter Zois cutting and running is that some of our younger boys get a go, including some other players from this year's championship winning under 21 squad - even if they don't play, I'm sure they'll find it a worthwhile experience. No Keenan, who is on duty at Adelaide United. And Joseph Youssef has quit the club due to 'work and personal commitments'. It's good to have Fernando in the squad this time.

Seriously, what a joke

Osagie only gets a yellow for his studs up tackle on Rhodri Payne, goes down like sack of spuds for the first penalty, and Recchia gets called for a handball when the ball has hit his chest and when the ref is blindsided. Footage also includes stunned mullet interview with Joey Yousseff and umming and ahhing chat with Horsey.

Kai tora, borite, na pa na gamithite! THE GREAT SOUTH MELBOURNE HELLAS 2 GOMBAK 1

Thanks to George for letting me use our facebook chat as my initial reaction angle. So much lies and bullshit. All you need to know, for now, is Valilevski latching onto a Kyle Joryeff cross for goal number 1, then Gombak equalise, then we score via Joey Youssef picking up a Vaslilevski through ball. Not many photos, no stream, just betting site updates. Farken pumped farken!

Four South players receive state team call up.

Congratulations to Joseph Youssef, Ramazan Tavsancioglu, Steven O'Dor and Laura Spiranovic have all been selected to represent Victoria in the 125th anniversary matches to be played up in Newcastle against a Northern New South Wales Soccer Federation side. Too bad the poor soccer folk down here in Victoria can't get to see a Victorian state team take the field on their own turf unless it's to provide scouting opportunities for the Victory.

Out Of Hibernation

That was a good sleep. To ease ourselves back in to the swing of actually of having a game on this week, here's the SMFCTV version of the Whittlesea game, with Joey Youey, Blats, Taki Mantaraki and the club song. I'll watch it when my internet gets unthrottled tomorrow

Three South players in VPL Bushfire Squad

If the title doesn't make any sense to you, it's a little bit like this. The FFV and Melbourne Victory have organised a little bushfire fundraiser match at Olympic Park tonight, with a selection of VPL players set to play a rep game that more than the people of Tianjin and highranking FFV flunkies will get to see. South's Ramazan Tavsancioglu, Joseph Youssef and Steve O'Dor have been named in the squad, though with Youseff getting injured and only completing half a game on the weekend, one doubts he'll get up for this game. South of the Border is undecided on whether it will attend.

Photo: A Mazu Temple in Tianjin, a likeness of which was to be constructed outside Olympic Park for this match, but which was abandoned when funds became scarce after the FFV had a certain civil matter go against them in tremendous fashion.

Knives out for newly signed duo

So, striker Joseph Youssef and defender Eddie Cetkin have signed from Fawkner and Western Suburbs respectively, and already their signings have been greeted with cries of 'qué horror'. And not just from supporters, but also from one time South defender and former team mate of Cetkin, one Arthur Tsonis. I'm willing to give them more time myself.
