Rather, the loan may be smaller depending on what kinds of internal funding is achieved/sourced.Paulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03206486881622385464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7503414687298565438.post-88095719599186533032016-12-22T07:57:53.519+11:002016-12-22T07:57:53.519+11:00As with KT's post, I'm glad to hear this k...As with KT's post, I'm glad to hear this kind of news.Paulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03206486881622385464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7503414687298565438.post-40919003554608650932016-12-21T22:32:31.997+11:002016-12-21T22:32:31.997+11:00Paul

Very much appreciated with some of us who were unable to attend.

You highlight a very key point when you mention how you have found members to be more engaged with the club by attending and participating at the AGMs. A lack of engagement would be dreadful as it would show a lack of interest in the club. Thankfully that is definitely not the case.

Like with any AGM, you see personality clashes between people who dont get along. Sounds like this AGM was no different.

Great to hear that the social club will be positioned to be operated as a standalone business that will hopefully boost the club's coffers. Looking forward to having a beer and a meal in the new social club.

Hopefully we can be provided with an update on the A League bid in the coming months.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7503414687298565438.post-19752196217772798372016-12-21T17:09:15.794+11:002016-12-21T17:09:15.794+11:00It was also my first AGM for 20 years, when I cast...It was also my first AGM for 20 years, when I castigated our recruiting strategy!

Afterwards I briefly spoke to a 'John' who was also at his first AGM for years!Savvas Tzionhshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05763693747144083898noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7503414687298565438.post-83023617451947192682016-12-21T16:21:16.211+11:002016-12-21T16:21:16.211+11:00This was my first AGM and the overlying impression...This was my first AGM and the overlying impression was that the club seems to at least be heading in the right direction... for my liking anyway.

I think a clash of egos in the first 15mins was mostly the reasoning behind the attempt at calling for Leo's resignation ... perhaps the dude with the Trump hair didnt get enough in his tax return this year... lol?

Anyway, the social club seems like a decent space and looking forward to a few bevvies before the next home game.... 7 weeks away first.... Up until Tuesday 20th December 7:15am, I had not received them.

After quoting Section 52(c) of the SMH Ltd constitution, I was emailed the following response, "As advised the Hellas constitution was replaced with the new SMFC Constitution to comply with the FFV rules."

This naturally raised alarm bells. The SMH Ltd constitution has NEVER been repealed by the members, and still remains VERY active and alive.

As the AGM was opened by the chairman, I asked the question of constitutional validity, and if in fact this AGM was operating under the SMH Ltd constitution. The chairman replied that YES, of course it is. I then quoted the email I had received from the club stating that it was replaced.

Another member then did what should've been done and interrupted the proceedings demanding to know why the email response had discounted SMH Ltd's validity. A confession as to who provided that information was put forward.

On another note, the comment "any moron off the street who pays $100 can become a board member", made by a fellow member was way out of line. I don't care if it was meant to come out differently. It was said with intent in the direction of the new board members. Obviously put up to the task by a higher power. This same board member snickered with smart remarks at the opening constitutional argument.

I know this person reads the blog. Here's some advice. The constitution underpins the foundations of any Association. Until you understand how important that is, maybe you should keep your opinions to yourself. Another thing, can you give us names of who the board members both past and present are, that you describe as "morons off the street" ?

Until you can name names, be quiet.
Not a Karagiozinoreply@blogger.com
